Q: What is a PIR, and can I have a pet with one?

A: PIR is just a fancy word for motion detector. Motion detectors are an important part of your security system. Having indoor pets does mean that the motion detectors will need to installed strategically as to allow your pet to go about their daily activities without setting off the motion detector.
